Angus Sinclair
Chief Scientific Officer LabGenius Therapeutics
As CSO, Angus leverages his broad therapeutic experiences to drive the discovery and development of novel antibody therapeutics using LabGenius’ advanced ML-driven protein engineering platform, EVA™.
Angus has >30 years of leadership experience in the discovery and development of therapeutics, successfully advancing multiple lead assets for clinical evaluation. Angus joined LabGenius from IGM Biosciences, where he served as the EVP of Research, and previously led oncology research as Senior Director at Northern Biologics, and Scientific Director at Amgen.
Angus also held several academic positions at the University of Cambridge, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centre, and the University of California, San Diego.
Seminars
- What defines a ‘clean’ target in practice, and how should we balance prevalence, selectivity, and heterogeneity risks?
- How can emerging technologies like proteomics, spatial biology, and AI improve prediction of protein expression, localisation, and off-tumour toxicity risk?
- How can the field move beyond a limited pool of validated targets while generating robust preclinical data to de-risk novel target investment?
- LabGenius Therapeutics has pioneered the development of EVA™, an ML-driven, closed-loop antibody discovery engine. EVA™ generates large volumes of biologically rich experimental data, which are used to train computational models. These models are used to co-optimise molecules across multiple therapeutic parameters, including potency, efficacy, selectivity and developability
- By integrating high-throughput experimentation and computational learning in this way, EVA™ identifies novel, high-performing antibody molecules, often with nonintuitive designs
- The company’s lead programme, LGTX-101, is a selectivity-enhanced Nectin-4 x CD3 T-cell engager featuring a novel 3+1 molecular architecture. In preclinical studies, LGTX-101 has demonstrated robust tumour-killing activity with minimal activity against Nectin-4–expressing healthy cells
